Product Description:

This sea cock repair kit can be used for the following articles:
  • 1st010805 - Sea cock body
  • 1st010825 - Inline valve
  • 1st010834 - Sea cock curved ball valve
  • 1st010835 - Sea cock straight ball valve

Repair Kits Contain:

  • 1 Ball
  • 2 Ball Seats
  • 2 O-Rings for valve stem

Remove the hex nut on top of the bronze seacock body. Loosen and remove the brass nut retaining the bronze seacock handle and remove the bronze handle and brass gland nut. GENTLY dislodge the brass stem from the ball inside the seacock body. Remove the ball and two seals through the top of the bronze seacock body.
Inspect the inside of the seacock body to insure that no foreign matter or other debris is present. Use a light amount of waterproof grease to coat the inner area of the provided ball seat. Re-install the ball seat with its flat side down against the seacock interior. Next, the new seacock ball is installed, with its slot visible through the handle opening. Lubricate and install the upper ball seat as detailed previously, with its cupped side contacting the ball and the flat side facing the opening at the top. Reinstall the large bronze hex top nut but DO NOT TIGHTEN.
Reinstall the stem carefully, aligning the stem with the slot in the ball. Do not
overtighten the small brass hex gland nut when reinstalling the bronze handle. Carefully tighten the large hex top nut, while moving the handle back and forth, to determine smoothest efficient operating position and elimination of any leak or drip from the area of the large hex top nut.

Lubrication Periodically lubricate handle stem with waterproof pump grease in order to reduce stiffness. Ball and seats are self-lubricating, however, inspect for deposits and foreign matter. Winterizing Sea Cock has two drain plugs (one plug, in case of the straight / inline valve) for draining the water from the device prior to freezing conditions.
