This 12 inch fog bell 300M is made of polished Brass for vessels of 20 m and more of length. The bell is in accordance with the "Convention on the international regulations for preventing collisions at sea (COLREG)" 1972, Annex III, 2 (a) and (b) sound pressure level 110 dB at 1 m distance. Vessels of 100 m or more in length must, in addition, be provided with a gong installed on the aft ship.
Important Notice:
Due to the length of a ship's name, the font may need to be adjusted in relation to the bell size. Two words are placed one below the other; a long word must be made shorter to be readable and therefore smaller in font height.
